This past spring we had the exciting opportunity to partner with Ingenity Electric, an innovative electric boat company under the Correct Craft family of brands. They have created the world’s first 100% electric towboat—the multisport Super Air Nautique GS22E, powered by Ingenity. The team at Ingenity reached out to us to build a mobile space for their exclusive on-water experience this summer at Lake Tahoe. The tiny home gives guests the opportunity to check in and learn more about the GS22E and its propulsion technology before getting on the water for an exclusive half-day charter.

The Ingenity Experience Center needed to be a representation of what fuels Ingenity’s engineering: sustainable, sleek in design, and respectful to the nature surrounding it. The result was a fully solar-powered space with a modern natural cedar exterior and simple all-natural interior.

The Experience Center prioritizes sustainable energy and fine craftsmanship. The fully solar-powered tiny home was handcrafted with high-grade materials and stylish finishes, an appropriate fit for the head-turning GS22E. Smooth panel walls and ceiling create a modern, sleek interior that features a built-in Baltic Birch desk, a hidden closet for the solar componentry, and a kitchenette along one end for guest amenities. Waterproof white oak flooring was a special feature for the unique functionality of the tiny home. Three transom windows and large sliding glass doors on either side of the home provide ample natural light and help connect it seamlessly with its surroundings.

A New Design, A Better Design

Breaking from the mainstream requires not only an innovative product, but one that improves upon the past. Ingenity’s mission revolutionizes the recreational boating industry. With propulsion technologies that eliminate emissions from fuel-powered boating and remove the sound barrier from your experience on the water, Ingenity’s GS22E protects the pristine environment of Lake Tahoe and other marine ecosystems while creating an unparalleled connection to the water.

At Wind River, we advocate for thinking differently about traditional housing, just as Ingenity does with marine engineering. The world is changing. Households are getting smaller and people are getting outside and traveling more. There is a shift from “bigger is better” excess to a more moderate lifestyle that prioritizes experiences over possessions and considers the impact we have on our environment. With a smaller footprint and higher energy efficiency, our tiny homes provide a housing solution for modern life that gives you the freedom—in money and time—to invest more in the experiences of life that matter most.

For both Wind River and Ingenity, less is more. It’s time to think differently about traditional design and engineering—whether that be in housing, boating, or any other industry. We’re excited about this partnership, and we hope you’ll join us in welcoming the future!
